Dubbed as “GoVIRTUAL,” the online convergence discussed, presented, and demonstrated cutting edge technology solutions to meet the evolving needs of education in the digital era and in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Virtual Conference dedicated a forum focusing on the education sector which has been greatly affected by the pandemic and at the same time pursuing endeavors along digital transformation. The invited panel of experts were: Sr. Merceditas Ang,SPC (President, St. Paul University Philippines), Mr. Colin Christie (Dean and Director of Digital Transformation, Enderun Colleges), and Dr. Romae De Asis (President, Metro Dagupan Colleges). It was moderated by Ms. Emie Baylon (Education Technology Mentor, De La Salle Santiago, Zobel School). They discussed the challenges and prospects of digital transformation in education in the Philippine educational landscape.
Anchored on the topic, “Rising above the COVID-19 Challenges in Philippine Education Sector,” Sr. Merceditas, presented the endeavors of SPUP as it advanced its educational platform through remote online learning. She also explained the various undertakings of SPUP in building a sustainable learning system in the context of the pandemic.
