Anchored in leadership, excellence and social responsibility, Ms. Mardilyn Garcia and Ms. Daphne Marl Louise Aquino notched as the TOP 1 and TOP 4 in the Search for the Twenty Outstanding Youth Leaders of Cagayan (TOYLC) on February 26, 2021.

Ms. Garcia is a 3rd year Social Work student while Ms. Aquino is a 2nd year Nursing student leading PVCD UNESCO Club as President and Vice President-Internal, correspondingly.

They have been initiating social advocacies aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals while thriving in their academics.

Concurrently, Dexter Monje and Charmaine Masuli who are taking up their Masteral Degree in Teaching and Library and Information Science landed on 12th and 15th rank, respectively.

Out of 40 finalists and 92 applicants, they prevailed in the initial and final screening that comprises of analysis of their accomplishments for the past three years, interviews, written examinations and formation activity held last February 11-13, 2021 at Basi Elementary School, Solana, Cagayan.

Meanwhile, Board Member Kevin Timbas and Mr. John Mauro Manuel, who spearheaded the said event, guaranteed that the in-house activities abided with the COVID-19 protocols.

TOYLC is an initiative of the Sangguniang Kabataan- Federation of Cagayan to intensify youth leadership and engagement in concretizing transformative change through volunteerism and excellence.
