Mr. Jester Magbanua (BSHRM – III) was selected as a Philippine Participating Youth in the 2021 Ship for South East Asian and Japan Youth Program – Future Youth Leaders Conference (SSEAYP – FYLC). He was chosen together with other 26 youth leaders in the country by the National Youth Commission of the Philippines and the Cabinet Office of Japan. He is the lone delegate to represent the Cagayan Valley Region.
In the SSEAYP Future Youth Leaders Conference, the delegates are assigned in Discussion Groups, where they engaged in in-depth discussion with PYs from ASEAN member countries and Japan to deepen their understanding of the current situation of ASEAN-Japan relations. It also fostered mutual understanding through a free-flowing and active exchange of insights to promote cooperation between and among ASEAN States and Japan.
Mr. Magbanua engaged with other young leaders of ASEAN countries and Japan in a month-long virtual conference on January 24 and 31, and February 7 and 21, 2021. He is assigned in the Discussion Group on Policy.
