December 05, 2018 – SPUP held a thanksgiving conference with the University’s Media Partners at the Global Center. The SPUP family, led by Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President) welcomed the participants from the different media institutions in the region and a delegation from Tokushima University, Japan, headed by Dr. Noji Sumihare (University President), Dr. Kazuya Kondo and Dr. Tetsuya Tanioka.

Present among SPUP’s Media Partners were: Ms. Sany Lopez, (DWPE); Mr. Jerico Joshua Kahulugan, Mr. Nikko Jake Acain and Mrs. Belen Lim (The Northern Forum); Ms. Rose Ann Ballad (Bombo Radyo); Ms. Michelle Acacio, Ms. Gellie Peña and Ms. Rhoda Jane Datul (RGMA); Ms. Sarah Tabalanza and Mr. Jonathan Carreon (RBC Cable); Ms. Analyn Basubas and Ms. Menchie Manuel (DZCV); Ms. Angely Mercado (PIA); Mr. Cayetano Tuddao (CATtv) and Mr. Simeon Dilan (PNA – 02).

The gathering began with an invocation led by Mr. Moises Calucag (Head, Campus Ministry). Inspired by the theme of this year’s Christmas Festival, “Celebrating Life and Blessings,” the updates on SPUP’s engagement activities and accomplishments were presented by Dr. Allan Peejay M. Lappay (Director, Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies). This was followed by the introduction of Tokushima University by Dr. Noji Sumihare. Subsequently, the members of the press were also given a glimpse of the upcoming events and new programs of the University. The press conference was highlighted by fruitful exchanges, discussions and commendations from the attendees.

The gathering also showed exceptional Grade School Pupils, who brought honor to SPUP. The participants were awed by the demonstration of skills by SPUP’s Basic Education Robotics Team, which recently won national and international awards respectively. Moreover, four grade school pupils displayed their talents comparable to that of Little Big Shots Show. The press conference ended with acknowledgements and thanksgiving.
