November 7, 2016 – The School of Business, Accountancy, and Hospitality Management (SBAHM), through the Junior Marketing Association (JMA), spearheaded the conduct of the 2016 BIZMODE at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Training Center (Global Center). The business conference focused on creative marketing strategies and financial management vis-à-vis the aim to foster an avenue for the participants to be responsive and relevant in the rapidly changing corporate landscape. In the morning session, Ms. Chiqui Escareal-Go, President and Chief Service Strategist of Mansmith and Fielders Inc., engaged the participants on creative service marketing strategies and personal branding. She emphasized the challenges of service innovation and service in retailing as measures in creating new service possibilities and turning customer experiences into memories. Accordingly, these lead to the development of a customer centric mindset. Meanwhile, Dr. Allan Peejay Lappay, Director of Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies discussed SPUP’s Marketing Designs and Engagements in the afternoon session. He highlighted SPUP’s creative marketing approaches characterized by the following changes: a) from isolated marketing to contextualized marketing; b) from knowing the product to being the product; c) from being informed to staying informed; and, d) from customer satisfaction to customer delight. These changes are relevant to responsible, faith-based and ethical marketing strategies. The conference included workshop, sharing of insights and an open forum. It ended with a thanksgiving from the organizers and participants.
