The Hotel and Restaurant Management (HRM) and Tourism Management (TM) students participated in a conference with skills demonstration on October 25 - 26, 2016 at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Training Center (Global Center). With the theme, “Trends and Innovations on Culinary Arts”, the speaker, Mr. Angel Buan, a Culinary Expert from the United States of America, lectured on advanced culinary techniques. He also demonstrated ways of integrating and applying concepts of technology on food design, nutrition and food safety. With his rich experience as a culinary-entrepreneur, he provided students with practical tips on developing new products and concepts applied to the culinary field. In the Skills Demonstration, he encouraged the student-participants to maintain technical and scientific rigor in their activities and performances.
