October 17, 2016 – The Department of Social Work and Development (DSWD) – Region II has identified SPUP (Community Extension Services Office) as its partner for the “Green Evolution: Working Towards Sustainable Future” project. The partnership signed by Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC, University President and Mrs. Ponciana Condoy, DSWD Regional Director, details SPUP’s role in providing technical services to the DWSD-identified Pantawid Pamilya Beneficiaries in San Isidro, Baggao, Cagayan. SPUP shall spearhead activities for the beneficiaries related to trainings, community organization, asset management, livelihood and skills development, research and community-based income generating projects. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was witnessed by: DWSD Officials - Mr. Noel Domingo (Regional Program Coordinator, Sustainable Livelihood Program), Mr. Lord Cristin Lagundi (Provincial Coordinator, Sustainable Livelihood Program), Ms. Karen Miguel (External Relations Officer) and Ms. Gela Flor Perez (Regional Information Officer); and SPUP Officials – Dr. Agripina Maribbay (VP for Academics), Dr. Inicia Bansig (Dean, Graduate School), Dr. Rosalinda Tanguilan (Director, Knowledge and Information Resource Network), Dr. Allan Peejay Lappay (Director, Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies) and Mrs. Noemi Cabaddu (Director, Community Extension Services).
