CHED AND DTI SHOWCASE SPUP IN THE 1ST CHINA INTERNATIONAL IMPORT EXPO

St. Paul University Philippines was one of the 10 universities from the Philippines showcased by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) during the First China International Import Expo (CIIE) on November 5-10, 2018 at the National Exhibition and Convention Hall, Shanghai China.

Together with the selected PHEIs, Dr. Jeremy Godofredo C. Morales, Director of International Relations and ETEEAP, stayed on at the Philippine National Pavilion and designated booth during the said expo attending to inquiries on the Philippine educational system, focused on SPUP.

Moreover, the Philippine delegation visited Top Chinese Universities in Shanghai such as the Shanghai University, Shanghai Normal University and East China Normal University where they met with the officials of these universities and shared best practices in providing quality teaching and learning environment to students and the community.

Dr. Morales was also interviewed by China Daily regarding the role of the SPUP education in the development of the lives of Chinese people. He said that SPUP has produced Chinese Nurses who are now employed in various hospitals in the USA, UK and Australia. He also mentioned the history of SPUP where one of the first SPC sisters who implanted Paulinian Education in Northeastern Philippines was a Chinese nun. The CIIE was endeavored by the Chinese Government in order to give firm support to trade liberalization, economic globalization and actively open Chinese market to the world as it facilitates counties and regions all over the world to strengthen economic cooperation and trade, and to promote global trade and world economic growth in order to make the world economy more open
