SPUP HRM-TM STUDENTS QUALIFY FOR FRONT OFFICE SERVICES NC II

Fourty- three (43)HRM-TM students enrolled in Front Office Procedure passed the competency assessment for Front Office Services NCII held on February 04 and 09, 2018 at the Kusina Cagayana TESDA, Tuguegarao City. SPUP student-examinees were headed by Mr. Chucky T. Villamar and Mr. Arnel S. Rubio (Faculty Members).

The assessment consisted of skills, night audit and oral examinations. The skills assessment required the students to process Telephone service, Guests' registration (reservation, walk-in and company-accessed), Rooming of guest, Club service provisions, Usherring guest check out (both at the Front Desk and at the Guest’s Room), and Luggage deposit and claim. The application test was followed by Night Audit where the examinees must compute manually the sales for the whole day and an oral assessment where the examinees demonstrated sufficient knowledge of the subject to pass the competency assessment.

Front Office is an essential aspect in Tourism and Hospitality Industry as any information related to customer services can be obtained from the front desk officer. The front desk serves as the frontline office for customer interaction and assistance (from feedback, satisfaction and complaints). After the rigorous assessment, the TESDA assessor declared that SPUP student-examinees have successfully passed the NC II assessment.
