In the furtherance of the Internationalization and ASEAN Integration initiatives of St. Paul University Philippines, Dr. Lili Nurlaili, M.Ed, Education and Culture Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in the Philippines visited SPUP on January 10, 2018 for discussion of opportunities for collaboration in research and academic endeavors between SPUP and various Indonesian universities.
Collaborative research opportunities, teaching of Bahasa Indonesia language in SPUP and scholarship prospects were among the topics discussed gearing to closer ties between SPUP and Indonesian Higher Education Institutions in terms of scholarly and cultural endeavors including mobility of faculty, staff and students.
Sister Merceditas Ang, SPC, University President, received the guests mentioning the thrusts of the University in terms of internationalization and ASEAN integration specifically on the accomplished and on-going collaborative endeavors that SPUP has with Indonesian HEIs. Dr. Nurlaili, on the other hand, shared the activities of the Indonesian Embassy – Manila especially on the assistance to and protection of Indonesian students in the Philippines as well as opportunities for Filipinos to study in Indonesia.
University administrators were present in the discussion together with Mr. I Wayan Antariksawan, President of the Persatuan Pelajar Indonesia, and the Indonesian students of SPUP.
