The Akademi Keperawatan Panti Waluya Malang (Nursing Academy Panti Waluya Malang), the Stikes Patria Husada Blitar and the Stikes Ganesha Kedirie in Java Timur (East Java), Indonesia collaboratively conducted the National Nursing Seminar on Health on September 22-24, 2017. The conference was parpticipated in by midwifery and nursing students was highlighted by the theme, “Strengthening Community & Clinical Practice Resiliency in Nursing.”
Dr. Elizabeth C. Baua (Dean, School of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences) and Mrs. Miriam Pattugalan (Manager, Nursing Arts Laboratory) were invited as keynote speakers in the said conference. Dr. Baua discussed “Innovations in Health Care to Counter Non-Communicable Diseases” while Mrs. Pattugalan lectured on “Obstetrical Emergencies and Critical Care in Midwifery practice.
The seminar culminated with MOU signing with SPUP’s new partner school in Midwifery, the Akademi Kebidanan Global Medika ( Global Medika Midwifery Academy) represented by its leader, Mrs. Bibi Amikasari.
