St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) has formally signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Diponegoro University (UNDIP) on August 24, 2017. Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President) signed the MOU on behalf of SPUP; while, Dr. Suhartini Ismail (Practicum Coordinator), represented Dr. Yos Johan Utama, (Rector of Diponegoro University, Semarang, Indonesia). Dr. Agripina Maribbay (Vice President for Academics), Dr. Ma. Elizabeth Baua (Dean, School of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences) and Dr. Allan Peejay Lappay (Director, Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies) witnessed the signing ceremonies.
The partnership between the two Higher Education Institutions aims towards cooperation and collaboration in scientific research, education and cultural understanding through faculty, staff and student exchange.
On August 13, 2017, 21 Master of Science in Nursing Students (MSN) from Diponegoro University started their two-week residency training program at the SPUP’s College of Nursing and St. Paul Hospital Tugugerao. They were also given intensive English Language Training Program at the Intercultural Institute for Languages.
