The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) – Region 2 has chosen St. Paul University Philippines (SPUP) as the host of the 2017 “Regional Higher Education Management System (HEMIS) and CHED Electronic Collection Knowledge System (CHECKS) Orientation and Workshop” on August 24, 2017. Held at SPUP’s Basic Education Complex, the activity was attended by 155 participants composed of University Registrars, Management Information System (MIS) Officers, Budget Officers of State Universities and Colleges and Registrar’s Staff from the Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) of the Region. The activity was also graced by Dr. Honorato Alzate (Director, CHED-RO2) and Sr. Merceditas Ang, SPC (University President, SPUP).
Facilitated by Engr. Rosario Danga and Mr. Don Dela Cruz (CHED Education Supervisors), the orientation – workshop was endeavored for the presentation of the different HEMIS e-forms and Student Mobility Data Form; orientation on the procedures and guidelines of the on-line submission of HEMIS e-forms; and the utilization of CHECKS for the submission of complete and accurate data. The whole day activity also fostered an avenue to set the goal for a hundred percent (100%) submission of HEMIS data of all HEIs in Region 2.
The program concluded with the election of Officers of the Association of Registrars of Region 2.
