To facilitate a smooth transition from ISO 2008 to ISO 2015, the Quality Management Office spearheaded the conduct of an intensive seminar-training for the University Administrators and Internal Quality Auditors from July 26 – 29, 2017 at the SPUP Boardroom.
Highlighting the integration of Risk Management and the Revisions in the ISO 2008 norms, Engr. Arnel Olivar (Asst. Product Manager, TUV Rheinland Philippines) facilitated the seminar-training through a combination of deep-dive inputs and workshops.
He emphasized that ISO 2015 is characterized by: a) a solid framework provided with a stable set of core requirements; b) generic approach as it is made relevant to organizations of all sizes and types, across all industries and sectors; c) process management as it focuses on maintaining effective processes; d) structural compatibility with ISO 14001 – environment management system; e) simplification of implementation in organizations and effective conformity assessment and language to ensure understanding and consistency of interpretation; and, f) accounts for changes in QMS practices and technology and organizational working environments.
SPUP is the first ISO Certified Private and Catholic University in Asia since 2000.
