With its aim to continuously enhance the quality teaching – learning process of both students and faculty, the SPUP administration initiated the conduct of 21st Century Teaching Strategies Seminar on April 5, 2017. Held at the Sacred Heart of Jesus Training Center (Global Center), the said seminar, was participated in by administrators and faculty members of the University.
Dr. Cellie SL. Santos, a seasoned teacher, administrator and a member of SPUP’s Board of Trustees served as the speaker of the event. In her discussion, she underscored that becoming an effective teacher of the 21st century; one must use differentiated instruction and more dynamic teaching strategies. As she challenged the teaching force of SPUP to be relevant to the times, she also fostered avenues for the participants to share their insights and learning which they have acquired in teaching through the years. Dr. Santos shared inspiring stories and personal experiences for SPUP teachers to reflect on as she emphasized that teaching is really a vocation.
