PNP-TUGUEGARAO SHARES SAFETY AND SECURITY TIPS TO SPUP INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

March 29, 2017, the Alumni, External Relations and Advocacies Office spearheaded the conduct of International Students' Security Forum at the St. Paul Home Conference Hall. About 150 International Students from India, Indonesia, Thailand, Papua New Guinea, East Timor, Nigeria and USA, participated in the said forum. Officers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) - Tuguegarao City Police Station (TCPS) were invited to lead the discussion regarding the safety and security of foreigners especially International Students in Tuguegarao City. Police Senior Inspector Alexander Tamang, TCPS Chief of Investigation Unit, discussed and shared practical tips on how to foster safety and security and assured that foreign nationalities, especially foreign students, are regarded as one of the service-priorities of TCPS. He advised the international students to adhere to the regulations of the University and encouraged them to approach Police Officers if they need assistance when they are outside the campus. With Inspector Tamang were PO2 Carolene Arugay, PO2 Jean Marie Remolacio, PO2 Catherine Rueco and PO2 Rosalynn Pagulayan who served as Facilitators of the discussion. Sr. Magdalena Mawili, SPC (Head, St. Paul Home-Student Center) led the awarding ceremonies for the speaker and facilitators. The forum concluded with a thanksgiving message of Dr. Jeremy Godofredo Morales (Director, International Relations Office).
