SPUP INDONESIAN STUDENT NAMED NATIONAL FINALIST IN THE SEARCH FOR THE MOST OUTSTANDING INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS IN THE PHILIPPINES

SPUP’s Ms. Kurnia Harli, BS Nursing student from Indonesia was adjudged as one of the 14 Finalists in the Search for the Most Outstanding International Students in the Philippines. As a finalist, Ms. Harli was chosen based on her academic excellence, leadership qualities, school and community involvement, and adjustment to the Philippines. The awarding ceremonies were held at the De La Salle – St. Benilde on March 01, 2017. Dr. Jeremy Godofredo Morales (Director, International Relations) witnessed the recognition rites. This is the first time that SPUP participated in the said annual student-search.

This is the 47th year of the search sponsored by the Philippine International Friendship and Understanding Association (PIFUA). The search aims to: focus community interest on the presence of international students in the Philippines; identify leadership potentials and capabilities among international students; encourage social consciousness among international students; promote international friendship through friendly concern for the welfare of the international students; and motivate international students to attain quality scholastic performance.
