SPUP’s Basic Education Unit – Junior High School (BEU - JHS) seized the championship crown in the 9th National Paulinian Science Congress held at St. Paul College of Bocaue (in Bulacan) on February 14 – 17, 2017. Mrs. Glenda Caranon headed a delegation of 38 student-participants from SPUP. With the theme, Paulinian Education: Developing Ecological Citizenship and Shepherding through Innovation and Research, this year’s congress served as a convergence of 25 SPC (Paulinian) schools nationwide and highlighted Life Science - Investigatory Project Competition.
SPUP’s representatives, Giel Mape and Enzo Mangulab bested the rest of the participants and their entry was adjudged as the Best Investigatory Project.
In the other events, the SPUP delegates exhibited their literary prowess where Pia Paat (Grade 8) and May Chua (Grade 9) reaped awards in Poetry and Photo Story contests. They won First and Second Runners up respectively. They also displayed their musical talent through the performance of BEU’s Orion Band.
