SITE HOLDS SHORT-FILM FEST AS COURSE OUTPUT

The School of Information Technology and Engineering (SITE) through the Center of Multimedia Artistry (CMA) spearheaded the 2017 SITE Short- Film Festival. The pioneering activity was held as a presentation of output in their course on Multimedia Systems under Mr. Rucelj Pugeda.

This year’s Film Fest featured Filipino family and social values in short films along the genres of fantasy, horror, romance, drama and comedy. The said activity showcased students’ skills in applying principles of Multimedia Systems through creative productions. As an output, their presentations were appraised in the manner they created their videos and clips, audio and image enhancements and editing using various tools and software.

After the festival and deliberations, Panliligaw 101 bagged the Best Film and Best Director - Mr. Zahn Xandre Gavino, Awards. Declared as the 2nd Best Film, was A Night to Remember: #Conscience and Tukador as 3rd Best Film. In the Poster Category the winners were: A Night to Remember: #Confusion, Panliligaw 101 and Tukador.

The said activity was held on January 13, 2017 at the SITE Multimedia Laboratory. Sister Mercedes Bacaoco, SPC (Director, Christian Formation), Mr. Kevin Abena (Freelance, Web and Multimedia Specialist), and Mr. Argieson Bacani (Multimedia Developer) served as panel of evaluators.
